Will it work with my current subscription?
For a matching desktop or browser subscription, gift time becomes subscription credit and usually applies at renewal. The credit must match the Nitro plan and subscription type.
Will I need a payment method?
Discord may ask for payment details to activate a matching subscription using gift credit. Check renewal settings before confirming.
Is this money in a Discord wallet?
No. This product is a subscription gift for the selected duration.
Is this Nitro or Nitro Basic?
The terms listed here are for Nitro. Nitro Basic is a separate plan with fewer features; subscription credit for one plan does not pay for the other.
Can I use the gift while my subscription is billed by Apple or Google?
Subscription credit cannot pay for an iOS App Store or Google Play subscription. It applies to a matching subscription on Discord desktop or in a browser.
What if I do not currently have Nitro?
After claiming the gift, check User Settings → Subscriptions on desktop or in a browser. If it appears as credit, activate the matching Nitro subscription to use it.
Where can I see unused subscription credit?
Open Discord on desktop or in a browser, then go to User Settings → Subscriptions. Credit can be waiting there even when it has not yet been applied to an active subscription.
Can I move a claimed gift to another Discord account?
No. A claimed Nitro gift cannot be switched to another account. Check the signed-in account before accepting, and keep the gift link private.
Are Server Boosts included?
Nitro includes two Server Boosts. Nitro Basic does not include them; Boosts follow the rules of the Nitro subscription.
